「ゴッドファーザー PART II」(1974)

「ゴッドファーザー PART II」を観た。

マイケルのボディガード役を演じたアメリゴ・トットは俳優ではなく建築家だったらしいのだけれど、マイケルの行くところ行くところに影のように画面に映っていて、いい緊張感を生み出していると思う。北野武監督「ソナチネ」で殺し屋の役を演じた南方英二に顔が少し似ていた。

"I saw an interesting thing happen today. A rebel was being arrested by the military police. Rather than be taken alive, he exploded a grenade he had in his jacket. He killed himself and took a captain of the command with him. (今日面白いものを見た。ゲリラの逮捕だが、男は捕まるより爆死を選んだ。手榴弾で敵の指揮官を道づれに。)"
