「地獄の黙示録」(1979)

村上春樹「羊をめぐる冒険」のアイデアになったということで観た。「羊」と「地獄」の登場人物を比較すると、"僕"はウィラード大尉、"鼠"はカーツ大佐にたとえられると思うけれど、細かい部分を見れば"鼠"にはウィラード大尉の要素が見える気がする。

"There's a conflict in every human heart between the rational and the irrational, between good and evil, and good does not always triumph. Sometimes the dark side overcomes what Lincoln called the better angels of our nature. Every man has got a breaking point. You and I have them.
