「博士の異常な愛情」(1964)

「博士の異常な愛情 または私は如何にして心配するのを止めて水爆を愛するようになったか」を観た。

オープニングとエンディングのセンチメンタルな音楽が素敵だった。

自販機から飛び出してきたコーラの液体を顔面に浴びてしまう場面で、役者が顔を液体に僅かに近づけているのがおかしかった。バラエティ番組のお約束的なものを連想してしまった。

"Now look, boys. I ain't much of a hand at makin' speeches. But I got a pretty fair idea that somethin' doggone important is goin' on back there. And I got a fair idea of the kind of personal emotions that some of you fellas may be thinkin'. Heck, I reckon you wouldn't even be human beins if you didn't have some pretty strong personal feelings about nuclear combat. I want you to remember one thing: the folks back home is a-count on ya, and by golly, we ain't about to let 'em down. (俺は演説は苦手だが…状況を察してみると、どうやら我々の祖国は今頃どえらい騒ぎらしい。君らがどんな気持ちなのかはよく分かっている。さぞ複雑な気持ちだろう。平気で核爆弾を落とせる奴は人間じゃない。だが考えろ、今頃祖国のみんなは我々に期待してる。それを裏切れるか。)"
